Define Impulsive: buying a book just because it's GREEN

I headed off to this year's Manila International Book Fair at the SMX, Mall of Asia (it runs until September 19), and after quickly going through the aisles, I was caught by this crowd milling around a booth which is selling all their books at P99 each!
So I said why not? I looked around...bought 2 books from that booth
and while waiting for my companions, I crossed over to the next booth which was also selling
books at P99!

AND THIS CAUGHT MY EYE!

This was clustered alongside other colorful books and I discovered that the author Melody Carlson had a True Color Series hence the candy colored books!

I checked it out, it's a simple short novel - seems like a quick read for me...and I just had this urge to buy one! So I did!

This spur of the moment buy is because this would be my first
GREEN book - Deep Green, Color Me Jealous

even the title is green! I don't even care that it's teen fiction! haha

So let's see whether it's worth my impulsiveness!

Green Wear: DLSU Centennial Swatch

Thanks to our recent career orientation in school a few weeks back, the DLSU reps who visited us, together with my colleague Sheila, informed me that next year is La Salle's centennial year and they have this grand celebration...and what really caught my interest is the Centennial Merchandise - the Centennial SWATCH in particular! GAH! It's been a long while since I bought myself a watch! And to be able to buy anything green and related to la salle at the same time had me frothing in the mouth! (well of course this is only an exaggeration!)

I spread the word to my college barkada of course. They too were interested and like kids everyone insisted that we buy the same Swatch! LOL Of course I wanted to buy the La Salle watch (seen below), do you need to ask?! But most of my friends wanted to buy the white Swatch since for them it's easier to match with clothes. You would understand me when I say that it would be much easier if I were to buy the green watch since my work uniform is green too! Haha

After checking the centennial site, checking Dlsu Manila Facebook page and discover the watch prices, I coursed the info and emailed the dlsu centennial office. Unfortunately their specific reservation requirements and office hours are not convenient for us working people. So that's putting a hitch on my stride, but heck I really want to purchase one!
Let's see when and how I do get to buy that Swatch! Oh and I might just end up buying the white one...so sue me I gave in! nyahaha (it still has green trimmings anyway)

And in other news: DLSU vs ADMU today 4pm!

Green Cravings: Gino's Eats & Beats

I would like to share this post by my friend mJ Juco. She tagged me in her post, I assume because she knows I like anything green! She shared her recommendation of a new resto along Jupiter St., Makati City. I will take note of this for sure and check it out some time.

"GREEN is EEN!"

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

So you guys must've been wondering how I came up with the "GREEN is EEN!" album title. Well, here's the story behind it...

Last night, Aisaku and I had to attend to some legwork for our production and future projects but we ended up having one of the BEST nights of our lives meeting all these wonderful people from Gino's Eats & Beats, Greenpeace.org.ph and Manhattan Green Solutions.

For our 1st stop, we dropped by GINO'S EATS & BEATS along Jupiter St. in Makati City for a delectable food tasting. If you happen to be in the area, don't forget to check out this new resto. We highly recommend their "Greatest French Toast" (french toast smothered in caramel, bananas, cream & nutella goodness),"Beef Salpicao" (tender as steak!), "Gino's Longga Burger" (a better tasting version of the Chori Burger) & "Mon's Delight"(Grilled Chicken w/ Creamy Mushroom Sauce - MY FAVE!). We are definitely going back! Thanks Gino! =)

As much as I've wanted to stay and lounge in a bit at Gino's, Ais and I had to run to a QUIZ NIGHT event to benefit Greenpeace.org.ph's cause. T'was my first time to compete in a mini Quiz Bee IN A BAR with fellow yuppies. Lol! That was cool! Thanks for inviting us, Haresh! =)

Funny how all the important people we've come across last night had a penchant for the color GREEN. See their business cards! :D Not to mention, the 2nd event we've attended was actually PRO-GREEN! ;)

Oh yes, green is definitely the 'in' thing! :D

Pathetic GREEN sightings in Boracay

Maybe because blue or aqua green are the colors
most likely associated with the beach...
That I was quite disheartened because
I hardly saw some GREEN sights
during my 1st trip to Boracay!

Aside of course from the plants and other greenery...
there was not much GREEN sightings!

and my cameras hardly captured them except maybe for...

This 1st green sighting! My comfy pillow!

me wearing a green cover-all bringing along my green tote

this edited photo of the green sky as me and my friend
go parasailing

It may not be obvious but the Starbucks logo color is green!

Another green logo sighting at this ihawan resto - highly recommended!

This mojito drink is a cute mint green sighting
and it doesn't taste bad too!

And if you look closely - my Holga cam is army green!

and it captured this!

So I guess I can't complain if I hardly saw anything green in Boracay!

Green Minded: You know he's drunk when...

I bet you've seen people commuting or walking to work with white earbuds plugged in and either smiling or smirking to themselves then you wonder what the heck they're listening to...

Well I was really trying to stop myself from laughing out loud as I was walking this morning
listening to The Morning Rush RX 93.1's top 10 today...all about bar/club/disco (and other joints) quotes...

Here's one that really was surprisingly... err.... funny!

There was this Lady with hairy armpits who approached the bar...raised her hand to call the bartender's attention and asks for a beer...Then the guy right beside her stops the bartender and says: "The ballerina's drink is on me!"... The bartender is confused and asked the guy how he knew the lady was a ballerina...and then the guy answered: "Well whoever can raise their legs that high is surely a ballerina!" o_o
